5 Email Scripts to Recruit New Affiliates for Your Payhip Products

Here’s something nobody tells you when you turn on the affiliate feature in Payhip:

Just having it active doesn’t mean people will magically start promoting your stuff. Nope.

You’ve got to ask. And not just once. You need to reach out directly, like a real person, and make someone feel excited to join your crew.

But let’s be honest, writing those emails can be awkward as hell. Especially when you’re not sure what to say, how much to offer, or how to keep it from sounding like one of those “hey bestie, join my MLM” messages.

Good news? You don’t need to write from scratch. Below are a few plug-and-play email scripts (with slight variations depending on who you’re reaching out to) that make recruiting new affiliates for your Payhip products way easier.

These are based on actual emails I’ve used (and tweaked after plenty of no-replies and “nah, I’m good” responses). Feel free to steal, adapt, and personalize.

1. The “You’ve Bought from Me Before” Script (Existing Customer)

Subject: Want to earn money sharing [Product Name]?

Hey [First Name],

I noticed you grabbed [Product Name] recently—hope it’s been super useful!

If you’ve been loving it, I’d love to invite you to share it with your people and earn a little something on the side. I’ve just launched an affiliate program where you can earn [Commission %, e.g. 30%] for every sale you refer.

Totally free to join. You get your own link, and all the tracking is handled through Payhip.

Here’s your invite: [Affiliate Sign-Up Link]

Let me know if you have questions or want tips on how to promote—it’s super simple. Just copy your link and share what you liked about the product.

Thanks again for your support!

Cheers,
[Your Name]

2. The “You’re Already in My Audience” Script (Newsletter or IG Followers)

Subject: Want to partner up?

Hey [First Name] (or “Hey there” if it’s a mass email),

Quick note—if you’ve ever wanted to make a little passive income by sharing stuff you already believe in, I think you’ll love this.

I just launched an affiliate program for [Product or Brand Name] on Payhip. That means if you refer someone to one of my digital products and they buy—you get a commission. Easy as that.

You don’t need to be a full-time influencer or anything. Even just posting to IG stories, YouTube, or a group chat can work. I’ll even give you promo tips and templates.

Let’s grow together 🙂

3. The “Fellow Creator/Complementary Niche” Script (Cold Outreach)

Subject: I think we’d make a great collab (affiliate invite)

Hey [First Name],

I’ve been following your work around [Topic or Niche] and just wanted to say—you’re doing such a great job educating and empowering your audience.

I create [short description of your Payhip products] that help [target audience outcome], and I think there’s a lot of crossover between our communities. Would you be open to becoming an affiliate partner?

You’d earn [XX]% per sale, and I’ve got swipe copy, graphics, and tips to help you get started fast. No pressure at all—but if it’s a fit, I’d love to send over the details.

Here’s the sign-up link: [Affiliate Sign-Up]

Thanks again for the content you share. You’re doing awesome work.

Warmly,
[Your Name]

4. The “Customer Who Gave a Great Review” Script

Subject: You said something awesome—want to earn from it?

Hey [First Name],

Thank you SO much for the kind words about [Product Name]! Seriously, your feedback made my day.

Since you’re clearly a fan, I wanted to extend an invite to join my affiliate program. Basically, if you ever want to recommend it to others, you’ll earn [XX]% for every sale that comes through your link.

Here’s the sign-up page: [Link]

You’d be helping others find a resource you already love and getting paid for it. Let me know if you need anything from me to make it easier to promote.

Appreciate you!

– [Your Name]

5. The “Let’s Make This Official” Script (For Someone Who’s Already Been Sharing)

Subject: You’re already recommending me—want to earn for it?

Hey [First Name],

I saw that you recently shared [Product or post] with your audience—thank you SO much for that!

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve got an affiliate program set up through Payhip. If you’re up for it, you can join and start earning [XX]% commission on any sales you send my way.

Here’s your link to join: [Affiliate Portal]

If you ever want graphics, swipe copy, or promo ideas—just holler. I’d love to support you however I can.

Thanks again,
[Your Name]

Bonus Tips to Make These Scripts Work Even Better

  • Use first names whenever possible. Sounds obvious, but that small personalization bumps open rates and replies.

  • Avoid making it all about you. Focus on how they benefit (extra income, helping their audience, exclusive access).

  • Follow up. A polite nudge 4–5 days later doubles your chance of a reply.

  • Give options. If they’re not sure what to promote, recommend your best-seller or a high-converting freebie.

Real Talk…

The first few emails might feel weird to send. You might get ignored. That’s okay. The goal isn’t to blast a hundred people and hope for a miracle. It’s to build real partnerships with people who believe in your products.

Because when someone shares your stuff because they love it—not just for the money—affiliate marketing becomes insanely powerful.

So go ahead. Copy a script. Personalize it a little. Hit send. Your next superfan affiliate is just one email away.
